In this world, it is crucial to use our time intentionally. (Especially as a busy working mama!) We go through life thinking.. “I wish I had more time for…” and “Once things slow down, then I’ll…” Let me break it to you… life isn’t going to magically slow down. WE need to be intentional with our time and how we use it so we actually get to spend our lives doing the things that make us happy and feel good. I’m excited to share these 3 time-saving hacks that will make your week easier! Let’s unlock more time for what truly matters!

1. Meal planning and prepping

Something that saves me a TON of time each week is meal planning and prepping. I like to do this over the weekend so I’m set for the week, but you could choose whatever times work best for you.

Meal planning:

This is taking the time to decide ahead of time what you’re going to eat for each meal. Usually I eat the same thing for breakfast each day for the week and then have one or two lunch options. Dinners are different each night.

Get a cute whiteboard calendar and write out your meals or even just keep it in the notes section of your phone but write it down! Grocery shop for only the items you’ll need to make each meal so you have what you need ahead of time.

Meal Prepping:

This is when you actually take the time to prep your food for the week. Do whatever is helpful for you! For me, I like to prep breakfast, lunch and snacks. This makes it really easy when I’m heading out the door in the morning to just grab my meals and head to work.

2. 20-30 Minute Home Workouts

Another of my time-saving hacks is being able to workout from home. This means no travel time, no traffic, no convincing myself to leave the house, no lag time. Working out from home has not only been a great for saving me time throughout the week, it’s helped with my consistency in working out. (But I have many other posts about that so I won’t go into that here!)

Not only does it save me time not having to leave my house to workout but my workouts are 20 to 30 minutes. Long gone are my days of doing the elliptical for an hour and not feeling or seeing any results. A workout does not have to be an hour to be effective. If you have the right tools, all you need is 20 to 30 minutes, 4-6 days a week.

3. Flutterhabit Eyelashes

Okay this is one of the best time-saving hacks because it’s really a two fold time-saver! Back story… I had been getting eyelash extensions from a salon for about 6 months. I would go in for about an hour and a half to two hours once a month or so and would get my eyelash extensions put on. Lots of time spent right? That’s insane for a busy mama. But I LOVE how I feel in eyelash extensions AND it saves me time during the week not having to really get ready in the morning.

Insert, Flutterhabit eyelash extensions! I don’t even honestly know how I found this brand.. probably Instagram but these are the BEST DIY eyelash extensions. These lashes are beautiful and with their special glue, they last 3-5 days. No more going to a salon and spending tons of time there. It takes me about 10-15 minutes for the application and then I’m good for a few days.
