Why choose an air fryer?

If you don’t have an air fryer, get one ASAP! I use mine at least 3 times a week because it is the best way to make easy meals AND the cook time is cut way down! This is the one I use and I LOVE it!

Using an air fryer isn’t just easier, it’s a healthier option because you’re using less oil. It’s an alternative way to deep frying so you still get that great taste but without the heavy feeling after eating or with the extra calories! To be honest, this is probably the kitchen appliance I use the most! Next time you meal plan, be sure to use one of the air fryer meal prep recipes below!

Healthy Air Fryer Recipes

Ready for some easy recipes for meal prep! These air fryer meal prep ideas make some delicious meals! I want to hear which ones are your favorite!

Protein Air Fryer Meal Prep Ideas

Chicken – I LOVE to air fry chicken! This is truly one of my all time favorite air fryer recipes. Simply season however you’d like and air fry for 10 minutes on both sides. I use chicken thighs and I like to season with Kinders The Blend seasoning, paprika and garlic powder. You can even season with your favorite taco seasoning to make chicken fajitas. Pair your chicken with some veggies for dinner or add to your favorite roll or bread for a chicken sandwich for lunch! (A homemade chicken sandwich is much healthier than any fast food you’d get.)

Another air fryer chicken option is to make homemade chicken tenders! Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and breadcrumbs in a shallow bowl or small plate. Coat your chicken with olive oil and then in the breadcrumb mixture. Air fry for 5-6 minutes each side. YUM! A lunch or dinner your kids will love too!

Salmon – Salmon is another great protein to cook in the air fryer (however not super great for meal prep.. you don’t want to be that person at the office bringing stinky fish for lunch, hah!) BUT still sharing in case you do love salmon and maybe you work from home! I cook this similar to how I cook chicken in the air fryer. I just rub it with olive oil and add my favorite seasonings (Kinders The Blend and paprika), air fry for 7-9 minutes and delish! It’s ready to go! Add your salmon to a salad or on top of rice or quinoa and it’s the perfect healthy lunch!

Veggies Recipe

Cooking vegetables in the air fryer is the best! If you love crispy veggies that don’t take less time than roasting on a sheet pan, these recipes are for you!

Brussel Sprouts – I probably make Brussels sprouts the most in my air fryer because there is just no other way to eat Brussel sprouts than if they’re super crispy, almost like chips! I just put some olive oil and Himalayan pink salt and air fry until crispy! It depends on the size of your Brussel sprouts for how long it will take but I usually start at 8 minutes, pull it out, shake them around and put them in for another 5 or so!

Broccoli – I like to keep my broccoli simple and of course crisp it up in the air fryer. All I use is some olive oil and Kinders the Blend seasoning. So good! Add this as a side for dinner or in your BOS (bowl of stuff) for lunch!

Cauliflower – Cauliflower is an awesome veggie because you can add any flavoring to it and transform it! My favorite way to use cauliflower in the air fryer is to bread it with some seasoning and almond flour. I air fry it until it has a golden crust, about 10 – 13 minutes. Once it’s super crispy, add your favorite marinara sauce, BBQ sauce or buffalo sauce! (Really any sauce! I love Primal Kitchen! Use code: DANIELLEMGODFREY10 to save money at checkout!) What sauce would you use? I know it’s not “the real thing” BUT it’s a healthier option and tastes delicious!

Zucchini Fries – This is an amazing side to add to any meal! Simply cut your zucchini into “fry” like shapes. Toss in olive oil and bread with Kinders The Blend, paprika, parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. Air fry until crispy, about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. Enjoy!

Carbs

Tater Tots – All you need is some frozen tater tots and a little olive oil and you’ll get a delicious golden brown side or snack. Fun fact: when I was in high school, I ate tater tots and ranch every single day for breakfast. They were the best! Add these to your breakfast or with your chicken sandwich for lunch or even just eat it as a snack. So yummy!

Sweet Potato or Sweet Potato Fries – I love incorporating sweet potato as a side for lunch or dinner! Air fry with some olive oil and your favorite seasonings for some delicious crispy potatoes or fries!

French Fries – Are you a sweet potato fry fan or a regular french fry fan? I like to mix it up! Make your own healthier version of french fries by cutting your potato into fry sized strips and air fry with olive oil and salt.
