To celebrate Earth Day, Beckham and I did a paint in a bag art project! This project is simple with no mess. I’m not quite ready to let my one year old paint just yet, ha! Check it out and tag me on Instagram if you and your little one do this project (danielle_m_godfrey_).

Earth Day Art Project Directions

  1. Cut a circle out of your white construction paper and put it inside the ziplock bag.
  2. Squirt a teaspoon/tablespoon size of green and blue paint in the ziplock off to the side of the white construction paper.
  3. Add marbles to the bag and zip the bag closed.
  4. Show your toddler how to move the marbles through the paint and across the circle.
  5. Move the paint around until the paint is spread out and there’s no white space.
  6. Carefully take out the painted circle and you have created the Earth!
  7. Let dry and hang up to enjoy!

Tips

When I did this, I plopped one side of the bag with blue paint and one side of the bag with green paint. We had a little bit of a hard time mixing it with the marbles SO I recommend putting smaller globs of paint in multiple places around the circle and in the bag.

Make sure there is air in the ziplock so the marbles can move easier!
