Spring has sprung and it’s time for ALL the springtime fun! Here are a few of our favorite activities! Which spring activities for toddlers will you try out with your little one?

Create the Rainbow

Materials:
– Multicolored pipe cleaners
– Kinetic sand or PlayDoh

Activity:
Stick the pipe cleaners in the kinetic sand or PlayDoh to make the rainbow. Get as creative as you want!

My son enjoyed this activity and making holes in the kinetic sand with the pipe cleaners. The kinetic stand didn’t stay together as well as I suspect the PlayDoh would tho!

Water Painting

Materials:
– Various size paint brushes
– Sponges
– Anything else to “paint” with
– Tupperware or bucket of water

Activity:
Grab all your materials and head outside to paint your patio or the sidewalk with water!

SUCH an easy and no prep activity to do with your little. We did this on a hot day and it was fun to see the water start to dry up as well and then re-paint it!

“Plant” the Flowers

Materials:
– Plastic flowers
– Colander (with large enough holes to hold the flower stems)

Activity:
Toddler “plants” the flowers through the holes of the colander!

Depending on what kind of flowers you get, you may have to prep them a bit (I did!) by cutting off the stems so they were separated from the big bunch.

Rainbow Walk

Okay I saved the best for last!!

Materials:
– Rainbow construction paper
– Bubble wrap
– Tape

Prep:
– Tape down bubble wrap on top of construction paper. Put it somewhere you can tape it and line the construction paper up red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. Tape the bubble wrap over the rainbow line.

Activity:
Toddler (and mama – because idk how you could not participate!) jump, run, hop, skip on the line to pop the bubble wrap!

This was a fan favorite in our house! Beck had so much fun, we left it up for a few days! Okay and I had a lot of fun too (:
